Edwidge Danticat, Haitian-born writer, presented a lecture on October 6, as part of The Drue Heinz Lectures in Pittsburgh. After reading excerpts from some of her novels, such as Brother, I'm Dying and Krik? Krak!, she shared a conversation with Ian G. Rawson, PhD, chairman of The Grant Foundation. Pictured above is the two of them on stage at the Carnegie Music Hall during their discussion about her early life in Haiti and immigration to the United States at the age of 12.
