Peter Johnson's Passing
It is with deep sadness that I share the sad news that Peter Johnson passed away on January 20, 2012, following a battle with kidney failure and cancer.
Peter was a good friend and a very committed supporter of HAS. He made many visits to Deschapelles and, along wth my sister Debbie, served as co-CEO of the hospital in the interim period between Henry Perry and Venkita Suresh. Peter was a founding member of Canadian Friends of HAS and he always provided strong, quiet leadership to the Board and to our fundraising efforts. Peter was instrumental in organizing the tremendously successful 2007 HAS Alumni Reunion in Hamilton and until last year, Peter served as a board member of the HAS Alumni Association.
