Friends of Hôpital Albert Schweitzer Haiti held its annual gala on Friday, September 12, at the Senator John Heinz History Center in Pittsburgh. Pictured below is this year's honoree, Aaron Walton, and his wife, Gloria. Mr. Walton, senior vice president of corporate affairs for Highmark, Inc. was recognized for his support of social equity issues in Pittsburgh and beyond. In his position with Highmark, he administers the corporation's public relations and social mission strategy, which includes programs that provide access to quality health care and improve the health of the underinsured.
The annual H'Art & Soul of Haiti event was attended by more than 400 people who learned about Hôpital Albert Schweitzer Haiti and its “reverence for life” philosophy.
