HAS installs new fuel-efficient generator

During December 2007, Hôpital Albert Schweitzer Haiti installed a new generator which will be more cost-effective to operate and more energy efficient for the Hospital Campus and surrounding areas.

According to Dr. Venkita Suresh, Directeur Général, in the first month the new generator used 1,950 gallons less fuel than the previous generator.

The generator was purchased with Capital Campaign funds. In addition to a significant cost savings, the new generator runs more quietly and efficiently than its predecessor.
